Course details
Hands-On Training Course
The course includes theoretical lectures and practical hands-on exercises for the acquisition and enhancement of microsurgical skills for the execution of:
- Microsurgical anastomoses on 1 mm and 2 mm synthetic vessels
- Adventitia dissection and vessel preparation
- End-to-end anastomoses and blood flow test
- End-to-side anastomoses and blood flow test
- Microutures on synthetic membranes
At the end of the course, participants will receive a signed Certificate of Participation.
Each participant will be assigned to a station equipped with microscope, instruments, suturing material, life-like Simulator for Anastomosis and Microsutures by UpSurgeOn.
Course objective
The aim of the course is to increase the surgical skills through the use of hyper-realistic simulators for microvascular and microreconstruction techniques.

Medical students, Residents and Physicians.

Where does the course take place?
The course takes place at SpaceUp, UpSurgeOn's new surgical training center, located in Via Alzaia Naviglio Pavese 3, Assago (Milan). It's easily reachable by metro (Assago Milanofiori stop), by car (free parking available on site), and is about 40 minutes from Milan's main airports.
What amenities are provided?
Lunch is included and will be provided by us — if you have any allergies or intolerances, just let us know in advance by email and we'll take care of it. We'll also offer coffee breaks, drinks throughout the day, and a closing aperitivo to wrap up the course together. All disposable materials needed for the practical sessions, such as gowns and masks, will be provided as well.
How many spots are available?
Spots are limited to 9 participants, to ensure a hands-on, high-quality learning experience for everyone.
Are there any prerequisites?
No specific prerequisites are required. The course is open to medical students, residents of any year, and anyone interested in surgical simulation.
Will a certificate be issued at the end?
Yes, all participants will receive a certificate of attendance at the end of the course.
